Then she acts like she can't hear me and then hangs up on me! Ughhhhh worst customer service ever! They're also very sweet to her. They are a little pricier but you get what you pay for: I've never had a problem with the staff like some other reviewers. They're usually super busy but if you treat the staff with respect, they respond in kind and will go out of their way to fit you in and take care of you.
After over 15 years of going to Marina Pet Hospital now Banfieldthe manager would not follow through on what his staff had promised me would be refunded. Never been treated so indifferently at this once caring, helpful clinic.
I had been warned, and now I know. I am never going back! I suggest you stay away too. Molly and I had a really excellent visit. She has been a long time patient at Marina Hospital. Malcon is still with the hospital and Molly is not nervous around her.
The change over to Banfield resulted in a large turnover of staff. They have settled in and are doing a really good job. The visit this Saturday was with a new vet who ensured I knew all about Molly's meds and vaccines- I was very pleased with the care and kindness exhibited to my nervous Shih Tzu.
Not helpful or friendly at all. Save your money and go two blocks down to urban pet hospital for the best vets and techs in the city. I came in for help administering meds to my cat who is a bit difficult my usual vet couldn't fit me in that day. As soon as I walked through the door I was told "we don't have time to help you right now" - so friendly and accommodating.
Once I told them I was willing to wait, they told me that they wouldn't be able to help me administering her meds for which I was willing to pay and already had in hand unless I paid for a full exam with the vet.
She had already been diagnosed AT THIS VET and they had her records showing her diagnosis but said it had been too long since they had seen her to continue treating her without a full exam. As if maybe her chronic kidney failure had been miraculously cured in the time I'd been away?
I offered to have my vet call with her records and they said that wouldn't work either -- that I had to pay for their exam and it was just "a corporate thing". Just so ridiculously unhelpful. The best part is, when I went back and waited at my usual vet -- the guy sitting next to me said he was also at Banfield that morning and left because their service was so bad.
I've only had great experiences at Banfield Pet Hospital. They could not even ask if we really needed to see a doctor or nurse and advice what we could do. All the receptionist had was the silly smirk. I have always worked for the nhs but never thought this is how the front office was run, really not impressed. I am confident if people truly had a choice this surgery would be begging for costum and train their front office staff to treat 'potential clients' with respect and courtesy.
Visited in October Posted on 30 October Lombard Medical Centre replied on 30 October Dear Patient I am sorry that your experience at our surgery was not what you expected. If I could firstly address the point you raised regarding your child. The receptionist is correct in saying that we are not permitted no surgery is to register your child at 2 surgeries. If your child was unwell during our opening hours and this was made clear then of course we would offer them an appointment.
We would treat them as a temporary resident. When new patients register with us and with most surgeries we do ask for a lot of information.
Plus they give you the doctor's cell phone number in case of questions. That was pretty comforting for me. In fact, I picked up a friend from the airport at night the very next day. Overall, I'm satisfied and it's been great to wake up every morning being able to see! I wanted better vision so I turned to Vision One as my only consultation, from beginning to end the experience was great and I loved every single part of it.
I'm just mad I didn't go through with it sooner. The staff was Great, professional and made every single aspect of Lasik a breeze. I have already recommended Vision one to everyone I know and they will soon be happy with their vision once again.
Thank you to the staff at Vision One and I am happy to have gone through with the procedure, I would do it again but only with Vision One.
I still have occasional haziness or halos at night from dryness. I do not have any discomfort whatsoever in the eye and actually don't even feel like my eyes are dry. Brand reassured me that the cornea is still dry and healing and to put drops in as often as I can.
I'm so relieved that I went through with Lasik! It's been over a year now and my wife's vision is great during day and night. So despite the less than stellar experience of the surgery itself, the overall results are everything we'd hoped for. My Father-In-Law also went in for Lasik but he's around retirement age and because of the state of his eyes they had to do something different than the standard and I don't think he is happy with the result. I went into the consultation room with Dr.
At first, things went great despite the fact that he seemed in a rush. I asked him a question about which type of lasik they perform since there are two different ways to perform lasik. He got all defensive about them doing it the older way because that was the best way and they way the Doctor preferred Doc who performs procedurewhich was fine.
Then I mentioned I am familiar with how the process is since I'd been to LasikPlus for a consultation as well.
He automatically turned from kinda rude to full on asshole. He said that it was the same thing as what they did and I'd get the same results.
He also said that Lasik charges a lot more and that he did not care if I went to them or not because it's my money. I was a lot more interested in this place because of the price, but the way this guy was talking to me caught me off guard and I honestly did not know what to say or do in exchange. He said if I wanted to finance I would have to be charged more than groupon's offer, which seems fair.
Although I came out of my consultation in shock from Dr.
Lombard Medical Centre - Information for new patients wishing to join the doctors surgery
Brand being such a condescending jerk, I still considered going with them because I knew he was not the one performing the procedure. I continued to do my research and have decided against coming here for my Lasik. Customer service is huge when you are getting such an important surgery and having to travel from Chicago to Lombard for check-ups and what not. I would just rather be safe than sorry and deal with people that don't treat you like dirt.
Jerk-o wasn't a jerk and their customer service was better. I am going to happily spend almost double the amount of money at LasikPlus since I am a valued customer there. This post may not mean anything to Dr. Jerk-o since it did not matter if I went with them or not, but I hope I can change whoever is reading this' mind.
Please be cheap with something other than your eyes. It's just not worth taking the chance! I scheduled an appointment for today, cancelled other appointments I had, drove 45minutes to get there and the place was closed due to construction. I called them to see why they didn't call me to reschedule or let me know that they had to close early and their response was "we did call everyone who was scheduled" I am never going back to this place and will take my money elsewhere.
Decided to give this place a second chance after someone contacted me from this place, Bad idea It would have been nice to let me know about this ahead of time to bring a check instead.
All of this was because of miscommunication on their end according to the receptionist. Honestly the best choice i have ever made.
The entire process was extremely fast and the results were better than i could have hoped for. The drs here were very helpful and told me nearly everything to expect before the lasik started. This is a strange Yelp page.
That made me very nervous before I went because there are very mixed reviews. I had this done and my vision is actually great, no complaints there.
The outcome was good. Eyesight seems great except for the halo night vision, but the experience wasn't so great. In fact, the surgeon and I only shared a couple words.
It was done and then a "thanks Brand responds to the yelp reviews saying "the only thing that matters is the outcome", but I disagree. The experience was impersonal, and frankly terrifying that there was so little in-person communication, putting the patient at ease and feeling like a valued customer.
I don't think they do this because "there is comfort in numbers", according to Dr. I think it saves money, which saves the customer money, but still Maybe even having people rather than Otherwise, do a better job preparing the patients for a long wait time, and maybe make it less anxiety provoking of just waiting, but to provide WiFi to ease the wait.
Brand's responses are pretty unprofessional on here; justifying any complaint and devaluing people's opinions. These are real responses: I think I would deal with the dumb jokes for that much money. I cannot see why we get a 2 star rating with results as good as yours. The outcome is the most important thing ". He kind of does a "the customer is always right Would a restaurant say "yeah, it was a poor experience and bad service, but you liked your food, right?
That's all that matters". I don't think this applies in any service that customers are paying for. Lastly, make sure you ask a bunch of questions at the initial appointment. I went for the consultation before I purchased the Groupon but I was still surprised that for such a large purchase for a Groupon that it was not a scam. You see and talk to the doctors more than other places that have you with a tech most of the time. Yes, you'll be there on the day of the surgery for hours because they have people go in groups.
The whole procedure takes about less than five minutes. I was able to see almost immediately. I even went out to eat afterwards. Discomfort is the best word to describe some of the unpleasant sensation regarding the surgery, but there is no pain. Two weeks later, I can see without any aid better than ever. You have to wear the goggles for a week while you sleep and take two eye drops four times a day as well, but that's no big deal. My vision is still improving as it takes a couple of months to fully heal.
Best investment so far. I have since received a threatening email, claiming that if I don't provide the names and emails of the dissatisfied customers to be "tracked down" literal quote! He literally said that my post isn't good for him so it isn't good for me.
